The arrival of Norwegian Cruise Line’s ship the Epic marked the completion of H. J. High Construction’s $26 million project to provide Construction Management at Risk services for the Cruise Terminal 10 Renovation Project for the Canaveral Port Authority.
The project includes a new entry, reconfiguration of visitor traffic circulation, new Customs and Border Protection facilities, new baggage scanning facilities, new terminal passenger entries, a new passenger boarding bridge, new ticketing facilities, additions to and a complete renovation of the existing terminal to accommodate the new mega-cruise ships. Construction began in May 2016 and was completed on an accelerated six month schedule. Architectural design by BEA Architects, Inc., Miami, FL.
The Epic is one of Norwegian Cruise Line’s largest ships – an award-winning 1,081 foot ship built in 2010 with a guest capacity of 4,100 passengers.
