Growth forecast this year in Midwest’s hotel industry

The 2018 Hospitality North American Investment Forecast says hotel revenues will grow steadily in the Midwest this year thanks to corporate relocations, new convention centers and major sporting events. Hotel buyers from the West Coast and Southwest generally look to urban areas like Chicago and Minneapolis in the upper Midwest, but a majority of deals are now happening in secondary markets like Wisconsin and Illinois, according to the report from Marcus & Millichap.
