According to Arcadis, a leading global design and consultancy firm, there is a goldmine of untapped resources sitting idle in cities across the country. Arcadis’ Urban Land Restoration Index report ranks 27 U.S. cities by redevelopment opportunity which could attract renewed investment and revitalize former industrial sites. New York tops the ranking, but smaller cities such as Charlotte, Denver and Nashville are flourishing and have made it to the top of the list. This highlights strong potential and opportunities in mid-size cities across the country. By enabling industrial land owners, city leaders and developers to focus on redevelopment, the index will help unlock the potential of surplus industrial properties and improve life in cities for all.
