A member of the FRCH leadership since 2011, Jim Harkin has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Principal of the firm. In this role, he will continue to lead FRCH’s Retail/Mixed-Use Studio and the Architecture discipline. Based in Cincinnati, Harkin will play a key role in establishing new relationships for the firm throughout North America—in Cincinnati, New York and Los Angeles offices—supporting the growth and expansion of the firm.
Harkin brings twenty-seven years’ experience to FRCH and has focused on working with some of the world’s largest retail developers, such as Simon, GGP, Macerich and more. Prior to joining FRCH, Harkin was the Director of Architecture for MKC Architects, leading all efforts from the firm’s Columbus office.
“I look forward to continuing our amazing growth working with world class clients and brands,” says Harkin. “FRCH Design Worldwide has amazing talent and creativity that will propel us successfully into new markets and opportunities, bringing value to our clients to grow their businesses.”
Combined with his breadth and depth of architectural experience, Harkin also spent fourteen years as Principal and Owner of LuskHarkin Architects, where he received comprehensive business understanding—touching and managing every aspect of the firm from master planning, design and architecture, to business operations. Harkin’s background in business and client development uniquely positions him to take on the multi-faceted responsibilities of his new role with the firm, and he will continue contributing to FRCH’s strongest period of growth in the past decade.
Harkin is a graduate from the Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture. He is a licensed architect and LEED accredited professional.
