Multi-brand operator Focus Brands, whose portfolio includes Auntie Anne’s, Carvel, Cinnabon and Schlotzky’s, kept its nontraditional locations afloat over the past two years with a focus on future growth. The company ended last year with 972 units on college campuses, in amusement parks and in other nontraditional restaurant spots, and it aims to add 270 more this year. QSR
