fleetenergies uses its RILCO AI engine for decarbonization

This technology is for industrialists who wish to draw up and follow action plans for their haulage subcontractors with a view to reducing their carbon footprint.

fleetenergies announces the deployment of its RILCO AI technology, which enables it to integrate and enrich a single database with information about the fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and usage of heavy goods vehicles from eight main manufacturers: DAF, Ford, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes, Renault, Scania and Volvo.

This artificial intelligence engine is the product of a machine-learning approach operated on billions of pieces of proprietary data collected over 14 years and combined with a database of 40,000 types of truck fuel tanks. It makes it possible to have continuous real time tracking of fuel consumption based on volume in litres.

By means of its patented methodology, fleetenergies is able to provide shippers with data on emissions in real conditions that are essential for carbon accounting (scopes 1 and 3), as detailed as the footprint left by each individual palette that is loaded. It can also set up corrective actions for hauliers to take in order to reduce their fuel consumption and, thereby, their CO2 emissions.

Shippers have this information at their disposal as soon as their chosen hauliers are connected to the RILCO AI platform. In this way, fleetenergies enables its shipper clients to benefit from the 15% reduction in CO2 emissions from hauliers that it has achieved.

This data engine meets a growing demand on the part of the largest companies in the world which now have to be able to publish a carbon assessment that has been extended to scope 3, which includes all indirect emissions, notably those associated with transportation.

RILCO AI is a major breakthrough in the measurement of the carbon footprint of road haulage. This unique system provides all hauliers and shippers with an automated decarbonization process making it possible to realize carbon accounting and reduce emissions.” - Éric Elkaim, CEO of fleetenergies

About fleetenergies

Founded in 2009 by Éric Elkaim, fleetenergies is a company that specializes in reducing energy costs and the environmental footprint. Drawing on 12 years of R&D and millions of pieces of data processed daily, it has developed a patented technology that makes it possible to take precise, real-time measurements of vehicles’ fuel consumption, CO2 and NOx. As a cleantech expert for the European Commission, fleetenergies provides those involved in transportation, construction and refuse collection with savings – both environmentally and financially – by reducing energy consumption by 12% to 30%. With over 30,000 fuel tanks and engines monitored every day, the company, which is present in many countries, has high objectives in terms of development and recruitment in the coming year.
