FK Architecture Continues Growth with New Hires

FK Architecture, a Fugleberg Koch Company, welcomes Youssef Afifi and Razan Almousa, effective immediately. Their diverse backgrounds will be excellent additions to the FK Architecture team and valuable resources to clients and industry partners.

Afifi is an Egyptian native who spent eight years honing his design and architectural approach in Cairo, Egypt, before coming to the United States in 2015. His design acumen, project management skills, and versatility are on full display. Since moving to the United States, Afifi has designed convenience stores, fast food restaurants, upscale restaurants, and luxury houses. He has a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Al-Azhar in Cairo, Egypt, and is approved by the National Council of Architectural Registration Board.

“Bringing on someone with the array of experience that Youssef possesses is a coup for the firm,” said Jim Kelley, Managing Member at FK Architecture. “His adaptability, versatility, and attention to detail will be instrumental in helping the firm continue to grow in the coming years.”

“It’s an honor and privilege to be part of such a great organization,” said Youssef. “FK Architecture deeply cares about its employees and clients. From the high-quality projects provided to clients to the challenging, exciting, collaborative, and positive work environment, it feels like I am working with a family. The team assembled here at the firm is phenomenal.”

Almousa’s hiring highlights the firm’s high standards for administrative roles. Her administrative experience spans six years, where her interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills helped her establish intricate tracking spreadsheets, accurate distribution lists, and problem-solving. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida.

“We are excited to bring Razan into our family where her customer service background, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills will be on full display,” said Karen Durrance, Business Manager at FK Architecture. “Administrative roles are instrumental in day-to-day operations for any company or firm, and Razan’s hiring will be critical in maintaining the exceptional growth we’ve seen over the past few years,”

“FK Architecture is a fantastic firm, and I’m thrilled to be a part of such a diverse and collaborative team,” said Almousa. “Every day this team does something unbelievable and reinforces Nelson Mandela’s quote, ‘It always seems impossible until it’s done.’”
