Firehouse Subs plans global growth under new owner

Firehouse Subs was already in growth mode before the announcement this week that it would be acquired by Burger King parent Restaurant Brands International. The chain, founded by two firefighting brothers in 1994, has grown to 1,200 units in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico, and the new owner is expected to speed up worldwide growth. The Washington Post
