Dunkin’ Donuts will open about 400 new stores this year, with 15 percent to 20 percent likely to launch in new markets in Western states, including California, Colorado and Texas, as the Massachusetts-based chain continues its westward migration. Dunkin’ opened 371 new stores in 2013, including several in new markets in Western states, but by the end of the year 64 percent of its 7,677 stores were located in 10 Northeastern states.
