Dewitt Tilton Group is launching a new internship program for aspiring commercial and industrial construction professionals. The program unlocks a unique pathway into the construction industry, welcoming individuals actively pursuing careers in construction.
The Dewitt Tilton Group internship program is open to students and individuals seeking to enter the construction field. Interns will be mentored by experienced professionals and will have the opportunity to:
- Gain exposure to phases of the design-build process
- Learn from industry experts in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
- Develop valuable skills in project management, communication and teamwork
- Contribute to real-world projects and make a meaningful impact
Dewitt Tilton Group’s unique design-build approach delivers streamlined projects, faster completion times and significant cost savings. The internship program immerses students in this innovative method, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the industry. Interns gain hands-on experience collaborating with designers and construction professionals, learning how to optimize projects from conception to completion.
The idea for the internship program was sparked when Friess received an unsolicited resume. She took the idea to co-owner and President Chris Tilton. Before long, they decided to formally launch an internship program, starting with the same person who sent the resume, Scott Hawley.
Tilton agreed that the internship program not only benefits Dewitt Tilton Group but also the construction industry as a whole. “I appreciate seeing Scott’s progress and how he is beginning to understand the broader concepts of construction. It is rewarding to see his eyes light up as he takes notes. Our design-build approach sets us apart in the industry. Interns will gain valuable insights into how design and construction teams work together seamlessly to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.”
