With 90% of global commerce traveling by sea and access to the internet relying on the security of undersea fiber optic cables, Navy officials continue to emphasize that the prosperity of the United States is directly linked to recruiting and retaining talented people from across the rich fabric of America.
Hopkins serves a Navy that operates forward, around the world and around the clock, promoting the nation’s prosperity and security.
“We will earn and reinforce the trust and confidence of the American people every day,” said Adm. Lisa Franchetti, chief of naval operations. “Together we will deliver the Navy the nation needs.”
Hopkins has many opportunities to achieve accomplishments during military service.
“The Navy instills in us the importance of teamwork and working together to accomplish the mission,” said Hopkins. “That said, my proudest accomplishment is any win we can achieve as a team. I am also proud of striving to support the overarching mission of medical force generation, warfighter readiness and the delivery of world-class care, anytime, anywhere.”
Hopkins can take pride in serving America through military service.
“Serving in the Navy provides the opportunity to have an impact beyond my local community and allows me to set a solid example for my children to follow,” said Hopkins. “It also means taking care of the responsibility entrusted to you as a leader and being sure to not only take care of the people you serve but also constantly looking back to help people coming up the ranks behind you.”
Hopkins is grateful to others for helping make a Navy career possible.
