Gilbane Building Company is excited to welcome Chris Godbold as a project executive and the director of interiors for Gilbane’s Washington, DC office. Chris most recently served as the head of operations for his previous employer, where he managed the largest single project in their portfolio to date.
Chris brings 19 years of fast-paced, complex, interior fit-out experience to Gilbane’s growing mid-Atlantic interiors division. In the past two years alone he has delivered close to $100 million in tenant build-out projects, and brings that comprehensive knowledge with him to Gilbane. “Gilbane’s reputation as a first-class builder and the breadth of expertise across the company is what brought me here,” said Chris. “I’m excited for the opportunity to create improved processes that will develop efficiencies within the division and in turn increase savings for our clients.”
“We are excited to have Chris join our team,” said Drew Mucci, senior vice president. “He has a proven track record in the DC metro area and has cemented strong relationships with our subcontractor community. Chris’ expertise in risk management will also make him a tremendous asset for our clients and our firm.”
Chris retains a B.S. in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Construction Management from East Carolina University. He is a member of the American Institute of Contractors (AIC) and the Project Management Institute (PMI).
