Levy Acquisition, a company formed in 2013 by Chicago restaurateur Larry Levy and two of his sons, will acquire the 550-unit Del Taco chain in a deal valued at about $500 million. Levy Acquisition raised $150 million in a public stock offering a month after it was formed. It will change its name to Del Taco Restaurants and continue trading on the Nasdaq once the deal closes.
