Californian Jordan Fife has purchased Nevada City’s National Hotel, which opened in 1856 and is thought to be California’s oldest continuously operating hotel. No purchase price was disclosed, but Fife estimated he’ll spend $5 million renovating the property, with “a nod to the past and an eye to the future.” Read the Union News Daily story here
