Todd C. Pennington has joined Build Group as President of Southern California and will be responsible for all Southern California operations. Todd will leverage his 30 years of experience and contacts to position the company in this region across all business units, including ground-up, tenant improvements, and structures.
For the past five years, Todd led his own firm as Pennington & Company, LLC developing and constructing projects from Florida to California. The business also provided management consulting to companies and institutions including but not limited to UC Berkeley, 29 Palms Band of Mission Indians, and Bouygues Batiment International. Prior to Pennington & Company, Todd was the Executive Vice President and Executive Committee member of Bovis Lend Lease, over a 24-year period. During his tenure at Lend lease and with prior acquired companies, Todd was involved in over 150 projects. Todd has been responsible for successfully delivering over $22.7 billion worth of construction across the US including 45 million square feet of building area and over 27,000 residential units.
Todd recently served as the chair of the Building Futures Council at the Balboa Performing Arts Center as well as the WCCC / CAL OSHA VPP safety advisory committees. He also served on the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate Board and the Hope of the Valley Homeless Shelter. He is currently a member of ULI and eagerly looks forward to getting back into the market and industry. Todd received his MBA from Pepperdine University and a BS in Construction Management from California State University, Chico. He lives with his wife, Lynda in Laguna Niguel with their two sons, Tyler and Bryce.
