Sagamore Pendry Baltimore, the city’s newest hotel, has opened on the waterfront in the historic Fell’s Point neighborhood. A team of attorneys from Ballard Spahr represented the developer, Sagamore Development Co., for the project.
The new hotel is situated on historic Recreation Pier—known as “Rec Pier”—which has undergone extensive renovations that highlight the neighborhood’s history.
The Ballard Spahr team that worked on the hotel development was led by Mark Pollak and included Jon M. Laria, Christopher W. Payne, Eben C. Hansel, Molly R. Bryson, Christopher J. Fritz, and Alyssa Domzal. The team represented Sagamore for site acquisition and development, land use approvals, financing including historic tax credit syndication, and negotiations for agreements for hotel management, technical services, and co-branding.
