B2W Software Recognizes 2018 Client Award Winners

B2W Software, a leading provider of heavy civil construction management software, announced its 2018 Client Award winners during the company’s annual User Conference in Boca Raton, Florida March 25-27. American Asphalt Company of New Jersey was cited for Best Use of the B2W ONE Platform, and Alvin J. Coleman & Son, a contractor based in New Hampshire, was recognized for Best ROI with a single B2W Element for its achievements with the B2W Track solution for field tracking and analysis.
The B2W Client Awards recognize contractors for excellence in the use of B2W Software products through measured ROI and improvements to operational efficiency. A panel of construction industry experts selected the winners based on applications submitted by the contractors.
“American Asphalt has set a strategic initiative to be a leader in the efficient use of technology in our industry,” Kevin Lenover, vice president of construction at American Asphalt, said in accepting the award. “The B2W Platform has given us a smoother flow of data to and from the field. We have been able to centralize scheduling and dispatching, assess field performance more rapidly and provide better feedback from the field to our estimators.” American Asphalt uses B2W Estimate, Schedule, Track and Inform solutions.
Alvin J. Coleman & Son implemented B2W Track for field tracking and analysis after using B2W Estimate for many years. The move eliminated hand-written field data, manual data transfer, and a one-to-two-week lag in reporting back to the field. Key ROI results highlighted in its application included improved productivity through daily performance tracking. The company also achieved a three-to-five-percent recovery of costs through more accurate entry of labor time and was able to reassign ½ of its payroll staff to more valuable roles by switching from redundant, manual data entry to a more automated, electronic process.
Along with American Asphalt and Alvin J. Coleman & Son, the finalists for the 2018 B2W Client Awards recognized at the User Conference included Bothar Construction of New York, EPCOR Utilities of Alberta, Canada, Gonzalez and Sons of Florida, P.J. Albert Paving and Excavating of Massachusetts, and W.L. French Excavating of Massachusetts.
American Asphalt Company is based in southern New Jersey, specializes in all aspects of paving projects and operates three asphalt plants. Alvin J. Coleman & Son, based in Conway, New Hampshire, is a family owned and operated company specializing in heavy earthwork construction. The company completes public and private sector work in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.
