Atlanta Office Space Among 50 Priciest U.S. Office Submarkets in Q4 2022

During the recent years of cascading challenges, the U.S. office market has undergone remarkable changes. And, signs of recovery are gradually emerging as we move into the new year.

For this report, we ranked the top 50 most expensive office submarkets in Q4 2022, using the latest data provided by CommercialEdge.

The West Atlanta submarket ranked 12th in the region and 50th among the 50 most expensive in the country.

  • While office space in the West Atlanta submarket was the priciest in Georgia in Q4 2022, its average of $41 per square foot in asking rent placed it last among the 50 most expensive office submarkets in the country.
  • The Southern region accounted for 12 entries, hailing from Florida, Texas, Georgia, and Washington, D.C. metro area market – making it the 2nd-most prevalent region on the list.
  • Overall, Manhattan’s Plaza District holds the title of most expensive office submarket in the final quarter of 2022, with average asking rents here resting at $117 per square foot.
