Atlanta Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce that Candice Jordan joins the organization as the new Chief Development Officer starting November 28, 2022. Jordan succeeds Rosalyn Merrick, who was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

With 15 years of progressive leadership experience, Jordan will drive fundraising efforts to help strengthen the organization’s position as Atlanta’s leading nonprofit single-family affordable home builder. Most recently, Jordan served as the Associate Vice President for Development at Jumpstart where she managed a $17M portfolio and led strategy, stewardship and new funder solicitations across 15 states as well as Washington DC.

“Atlanta Habitat is navigating considerable change and growth, and Candice’s talent for cultivating relationships with key stakeholders is invaluable as we strive for pre-pandemic levels of engagement,” says Atlanta Habitat President/CEO Alan Ferguson, Sr. “I’m confident that her passion for our cause and her thoughtful leadership will be instrumental to our success.”

Jordan is an accomplished leader whose accolades include participating in LEAD Atlanta (Class of 2013), serving as a Diversity Fellow for the Association for Fundraising Professionals (Atlanta Chapter) and earning Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “40 Under 40” recognition.

Her dedication to service includes volunteer roles with the North Gwinnett School Foundation and a local chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is also the current Board Chair for Hand, Heart and Soul Project, a grassroots organization dedicated to creating equitable access to quality education, nutrition and community resources.
