Construction has begun on a Home2 Suites by Hilton across the street from the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis., where plans call for continuing development tied to the major firm’s presence. Nearly 10,000 hotel rooms have opened in the area, spurred by the 400 to 500 events the center hosts annually, drawing about 1 million visitors. Read the WMTV-TV story here
