ABC Supply Co., Inc. has signed a definitive agreement with Saint-Gobain Delaware Corporation, a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain S.A., to acquire Norandex Building Materials Distribution, Inc., a leading distributor of windows, siding and other exterior building products. The transaction is subject to clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act and is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
This transaction is ABC’s largest acquisition since the purchase and successful integration of Bradco Supply in June 2010. “This strategic acquisition reinforces our leadership position in the exterior products market and establishes a strong foundation for our next phase of growth” said Keith Rozolis, ABC Supply’s President and Chief Executive Officer. With the Norandex acquisition, the combined company will operate over 600 locations in 49 states and the District of Columbia with combined annual sales of over $6 billion.  “We look forward to welcoming the Norandex team into the ABC family,” said Keith Rozolis. “And, are confident that this combination will bring new benefits and create enhanced opportunities for our customers and associates from both companies”.
Since 1946, Norandex and its predecessors have been recognized as a world-class exterior products company. Norandex has been a leading innovator in vinyl building products. The Norandex portfolio of products and services will complement and expand the exterior products offerings of ABC Supply.  Headquartered in Hudson, Ohio, Norandex operates 103 branches in 31 states and reported 2014 revenue of $393 million.  More information about Norandex is available online at www.norandex.com.
Headquartered in Beloit, Wisconsin, ABC Supply was founded by Ken and Diane Hendricks in 1982 and operates more than 500 branches in 49 states and the District of Columbia.  The privately held company had sales of approximately $5.3 billion in 2014 and is a nine-time winner of the Gallup Great Workplace award (2007-2014).  In addition, ABC operates the ABC Supply Catalog Division, American Construction Metals Division (metal roofing systems) and the Town & Country Division as well as several subsidiaries including Amcraft Building Products Co. Inc. (vinyl siding and window products), Mule-Hide Manufacturing Co., Inc. (dry-felt and facer), and Mule-Hide Products Co. Inc. (low-slope roofing systems).
