New York City-based investment firm KKR has acquired 33-store Ontario, Calif.-based Hispanic grocer Cardenas Markets, for an undisclosed amount. KKR has also teamed with Chicago’s Victory Park Capital to buy Mi Pueblo, a Southern California grocery chain that also caters to Hispanic shoppers. Read The Press-Enterprise story here
