Subway says U.S. has room for up to 8,000 more units

Subway will find room to add 7,000 or 8,000 new U.S. restaurants in the next 10 years, adding to the current count of 26,600. The chain has begun testing hummus as a topping at about 1,000 stores, to appeal to health-conscious consumers.
