New Jersey is expected to receive more than $1.1 billion in aid from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for its recovery efforts related to Hurricane Sandy, according to new data. The state has thus far received roughly 43 percent, or about $494 million, of the total allotment, for debris removal and other recovery-related expenses, according to the state Office of Emergency Management.
