Restaurateur Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group has joined with Brookfield Properties and the nonprofit Rethink Food to turn three of the group’s New York City restaurants into community kitchens. The eateries will prepare 125,000 meals for food insecure people in the South Bronx, an effort that will help the company gear up for the day dining rooms are allowed to reopen.
