If the flooring inside of your commercial space needs to be replaced, but your facility’s square footage is too big for your budget, decorative concrete is the ideal solution. Instead of covering your old, gross concrete floors with tile or carpet, you can replace it with stamped or stained concrete to change the appearance of your entire space.
One of the best parts about decorative concrete is that it can mimic the look of expensive flooring like marble or stone, all the while costing a fraction of the price. Along with its beauty, decorative concrete is also incredibly strong and easy to maintain, with several options to choose from:
Resurfaced and stamped concrete
Removing a floor covering such as carpet can result in surface damage to the concrete underneath. The older this underlying concrete is, the greater the likelihood that it will be cluttered with spills, sealers, glue, paint, and other coatings. To diminish all of the clutter, covering this layer with a fresh, new layer of decorative concrete is the perfect way to rid of all discoloration, cracks, and other flaws.
Decorative concrete comes in several forms, and can even be stamped into large tile designs that are ideal for showrooms, courtyards, offices, and other facilities. As complicated as it sounds, installation is relatively easy, and the finished product will be resistant to stains, chips, cracks, dirt, moisture, and more.
Concrete finishing
There are plenty of options when it comes to concrete finishes. From stone and natural emulations like flagstone, slate, cobblestone, brick, tile, or wood plank, to glossy or textured surfaces, this is a great option to keep your floors both protected and beautiful.
Concrete staining
One of the most popular choices for indoor commercial flooring is stained concrete. It’s typically used in restaurants, offices, apartment complexes, hospitals, warehouses, offices, and schools. One of the main reasons for its popularity is its relatively low price and infinite design potential, including high gloss and matte finishes.
Stained concrete can create a variety of looks like marble effects, solid color stains, and more–all with acid or water-based stains. This opens up the door for several different design options for the individual offices or rooms in your commercial space, including placement of your logo or other graphics in the concrete design.
Commercial facilities with tile, carpet, or hardwood floors usually need their floor replaced every few years. Facilities with decorative concrete floors can keep them for several years to come, all the while maintaining the same beautiful design that they fell in love with initially.
