South Korea’s Mirae Asset Management has agreed to buy a U.S. luxury hotel portfolio from Anbang Insurance Group for slightly more than $5.8 billion. The Chinese firm paid $5.5 billion to Blackstone Group in 2016 for the portfolio, which includes the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco and the JW Marriott Essex House in New York City, among others.
