Gresser Companies, Inc. announces that the company and its licensing partners have been awarded more than 2 million square feet (sq. ft.) or 185,806 square meters (sq. m) of the patented PrīmXComposite™ jointless industrial floor system in the United States and Canada in the past year.
Projects include the 400,000-sq. ft. (37,161-sq. m) Arauco facility in Grayling, Mich., and the 168,000-sq. ft. (15,608-sq. m) Magna Corporation building in Grand Blanc, Mich. Both were awarded to licensing partner Fessler & Bowman.
Lewis Concrete, licensing partner in Wisconsin, has completed a 90,000-sq. ft. (8,361-sq. m) distribution center for World Food Processing in Turtle Lake, Wis. They have also been awarded the 207,000-sq. ft. (19,230 sq. m) Cardinal Glass Facility and the 140,000-sq. ft. (13,006 sq. m) Advanced Food Products facility in West Clear Lake, Wis.
In Toronto, Ontario, licensing partner Belmont Concrete has been awarded a 210,000-sq. ft. (19,510 sq. m) cold storage facility. Licensing partner Prime Industrial Floors of Lakeland, Fla., recently completed a 215,000-sq. ft. (19,974-sq. m) logistics center in Tampa, Fla.
In addition to the new construction by licensing partners, Gresser Companies provided PrīmXComposite for the 120,000-sq. ft. (11,148-sq. m) Vickerman Distribution Center in Norwood-Young America, Minn., for Greystone Construction and recently completed the 250,000- sq. ft. (22,225-sq. m) Vomela project in St. Paul, Minn., for RJ Ryan. Work has just begun in Becker Minn., as well, with 107,000 sq. ft. (9,940-sq. m) for Northern Metals and another 155,000 sq. ft. (14,400-sq. m) at Lakeview Industries in Carver, Minn., scheduled to begin in May.
PrīmXComposite, the world’s first joint-free floor system, is an internationally patented composite technology that solves shortcomings of traditional concrete. Such concrete is saw-cut into 12- to 18-ft. (3.66- to 5.49-m) square panels to control the miles of cracking that develop. These saw cuts deteriorate over time and the concrete shrinks and deforms, creating uneven surfaces, wearing out materials handling equipment, reducing efficiency and increasing maintenance costs. More than one acre of PrīmXComposite is placed per day with no saw cuts, no shrinkage, no deformation and virtually no cracking.
“It’s a truly disruptive technology,” says Mike Gresser, CEO of Gresser Companies. “Forward thinkers see the obvious advantages immediately. It is by far the most advanced concrete floor system ever developed. The implication for industrial floors, pavements and other reinforced concrete applications is astounding.”

Developed in Riga, Latvia, by Primekss SIA, the PrīmXComposite technology combines steel fiber reinforcement—rather than rebar—with next-generation shrinkage-compensating additives. The result is a thinner floor with a higher load capacity and zero saw cuts. The technology not only increases efficiency and reduces equipment and facility maintenance, it also reduces CO2 emissions by thousands of tons on a typical project. It’s thinner, flatter, stronger and less expensive than traditional reinforced concrete. PrīmXComposite floors are in service in more than 20 countries worldwide, with over 160,000,000 square feet (1,4864,486 square meters) of floor, outdoor pavement and other structural projects completed.
