Subway has booked steady growth in Europe throughout the continent’s recession and up-and-down recovery, making it the sandwich chain’s fastest-growing market outside the United States. Subway has 4,018 stores in Europe and expects to open 800 to 1,000 in 2014, with plans to grow to 2,000 restaurants in the U.K. by 2015. Read the Bloomberg story here.
