The Energy Management Association (EMA) installed new officers and directors during its recent board meeting. EMA is dedicated to advancing the quality of energy management for the benefit of the building owner.
It’s an honor to step into this role at such a pivotal time for our industry,” said newly elected president Emmillee Hogan, CxA, EMP, LEED AP of the Federal Reserve Board. “Energy managers are on the front lines of some of the most important work happening in the built environment today. I look forward to working alongside this incredible community to ensure our association continues to be a resource our members and the building performance industry at large can count on.” (A complete listing of the Board of Directors is provided below.)
EMA was founded by its affiliate organization, the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) and became a free-standing organization in 2014. Its unique energy program applies energy management skills to the building commissioning methodology, leveraging data and the knowledge of energy managers to improve energy efficiency while optimizing building performance. The Energy Management Professional (EMP) Certification is the cornerstone of EMA’s programming and has been recognized by the Department of Energy and other federal, state, and local organizations promoting energy efficiency and management. In addition to certification, EMA offers training, networking, and continuing education opportunities within the industry.
