Scandal Meets Style at Color Invasion® 2025

Scandal Meets Style at Color Invasion® 2025

The New York Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA NY) is turning up the drama with Sunsets & Scandals, the theme for the 23rd annual Color Invasion®. Inspired by the lush, mysterious worlds of escapist TV, this year’s can’t-miss event will transform Chelsea Industrial (535–551 West 28th Street, New York, NY 10001) into a glamorous playground for more than 1,000 members of the architecture and design community on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 7 to 11 p.m.

“This year, we’re bringing a glamorous, mischievous twist to Color Invasion® with Sunsets & Scandals,” said Brian Bates, Co-Chair of the Color Invasion® Committee. “Think bold colors, stylish fashion, luxury resort settings, and a touch of drama. Guests can expect an immersive escape where intrigue meets scandal.”

As IIDA NY’s premier annual networking and social impact celebration, Color Invasion® is never just a party; it’s a spectacle! Attendees will sip signature cocktails, sample a decadent menu, and discover interactive installations and live entertainment designed to capture the sultry, stylish energy of the theme. Costumes are not just welcome, they’re highly encouraged.

“This event has always been about the spirit of design and community,” added Steven South, Committee Co-Chair. “Every year, the theme transforms the night into something unforgettable. In 2025, we’re inviting guests to step into a world of escapades and glamour.”

Since its debut in 2001, Color Invasion® has also carried a deeper purpose: supporting children in need. This year’s event will benefit Beyond Bedtime—formerly Pajama Program—a nonprofit that provides books, pajamas, and sleep wellness resources for children facing adversity, especially those in foster care or experiencing housing insecurity.

Guests are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped pajamas and books for children from infancy to age 18. For added convenience, IIDA NY will also host an on-site Beyond Bedtime pop-up shop, where guests can purchase items to donate during the event. Monetary donations will be accepted through Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

For tickets, visit the IIDA NY Color Invasion® 2025 Eventbrite page.
