Horton Automatics has expanded the specification and aesthetics options of its HD-2001 LL. This series of heavy-duty lead-lined sliding doors, engineered for X-ray radiation containment in medical imaging suites, oncology centers and other radiation sensitive environments, are now available in a variety of wood grain options. Available in both single and bi-parting configurations, the HD-2001 LL doors incorporate specifiable 1/16″ or 1/8″ lead shielding, delivering critical protection where radiation containment is essential.
Designed for performance and aesthetics, these high-performance doors offer a wide range of finishes — including stainless steel, galvanized cladding, and wood veneers — allowing for seamless integration into any architectural design. The HD-2001 LL doors are powered by Horton’s proven S2001 sliding door operator, ensuring long-term reliability and low-maintenance operation, even in the most demanding environments.
“The HD-2001 LL combines advanced shielding with customizable aesthetics, making it an ideal solution for facilities that demand both protection and design harmony,” said J. Elias Campos, Vice President of Marketing at Horton Pedestrian Access Solutions. “We recommend early specification through iSpecifyIt to align shielding, operator type, and finishes with each project’s unique clinical and architectural goals.”
For architects and specifiers, the HD-2001 LL is now available for project inclusion via iSpecifyIt®. For more information, contact Jason Vick at jvick@hortondoors.com, 361-866-6621 or visit www.hortondoors.com/sliding-door-systems/lead-lined-slide-door-2/
