Georgia non-profit Construction Ready has promoted Luke Fletcher to VP of Recruitment, Placement & Retention. In his new role, Fletcher will lead the adult training programs in Georgia and Florida for the group, which continues to help close the construction industry workforce gap. He also will support K12 learning and work-based programs throughout the two states.

A former high school construction teacher as well as a SkillsUSA Club Advisor in Houston County, Fletcher also served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years in the electrical power production career field. He earned a BS in Business Administration from Touro University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Administration from Trident University International.

“In his four years with Construction Ready, Luke has shown a great passion for recruiting men and women into the skilled trades,” says Scott Shelar, Construction Ready President and CEO. “Luke Fletcher is a valuable addition to our management team.”

Construction Ready works with high school students, parents, employers, teachers, counselors, and partners to strengthen the youth workforce and address the immediate needs of the skilled labor market. The nonprofit was created almost 30 years ago and works to close the skilled workforce gap that is impacting the industry nationwide. Those interested in being a part of Construction Ready can be a part of its K12 programs, Little Builders, CareerExpo, and adult training programs.
