Faulkner Design Group (FDG), a Dallas-based interior architecture and design firm, has promoted Michelle Duncum to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Duncum joined FDG in Nov. 2013 as Vice President of Client Services and Public Relations, and since then has played a leading role in upgrading the company’s developer services, technology capabilities, and the expansion of FDG’s offerings and product lines.
With more than 25 years of experience in property management, multifamily construction, development and marketing, Duncum has a deep understanding of FDG’s client needs and priorities. In her new position, she is primarily responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day operations, in addition to restructuring the firm to optimize quality assurance, employee performance, client satisfaction and profitability. She also oversees management of the firm’s clients, vendors and national projects.
In addition, Duncum will lead three primary FDG initiatives for 2017:
- To help bridge developer marketing and operational priorities in order to take their properties to the next level through new FDG’s Developer Services products;
- To manage and promote new FDG-designed, owned and controlled product lines;
- To continue FDG’s cutting edge initiatives in technology such as 3D modeling, virtual reality as well as launching FDG’s new film production and photography division.
“Michelle brings a rare combination of insight, strategic thinking and leadership abilities to our team,” said Adrienne Akin Faulkner, President and Founder of Faulkner Design Group.
“She has already made a major impact on our company’s success, and has proven time and again that she’s an equally valuable partner to our clients. As COO, Michelle will not only play a pivotal role in our future growth and expansion, she will continue to drive the innovative thinking and quality-control processes that make it possible for FDG to bring unique design solutions to every project.”
Before joining FDG, Duncum served as Asset Manager and Executive Director for Glenbrook Residential and Brothers Property Corporation in Dallas, where she was primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Dallas portfolio of multifamily real estate investments.
An alumna of the University of Texas at Arlington, Michelle has served on multiple financial advisory committees for the Arlington Independent School District, and has won multiple multifamily industry awards.
