London Fischer, LLP announced that the professional liability defense team, led by Tom Leghorn, has left Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edleman & Dicker, LLP to join the firm’s New York office.
Effective immediately, Mr. Leghorn will also become the head of London Fischer’s Professional Liability Defense Group, which is well known for the defense of architects and engineers, employment practices claims and accountants malpractice claims.
Mr. Leghorn is a former member of the Wilson Elser Executive Committee and the former Managing Partner of that firm’s New York City office. Mr. Leghorn and Ernie Tonorezos will become partners at London Fischer, and will be joined by Of Counsel, Sheryl Parker.
“As our professional liability coverage practice has grown, our clients have insisted on specialized practice groups and asked the firm to increase our litigators in professional liability defense,” says Bud London, London Fischer’s Managing Partner. “Tom Leghorn, Ernie Tonorezos and Sheryl Parker are outstanding and accomplished attorneys in the professional liability field, and we are proud they have decided to make London Fischer their new home.”
Mr. Leghorn writes for a variety of legal publications, lectures on legal malpractice issues and was a member of the New York State Bar Association Committee on professional ethics. He ran the professional liability defense practice at his former firm and was also the chairman of its intellectual property and cyber practice teams. Mr. Leghorn and his team will continue to specialize in the defense of attorneys, as well as internal investigations for clients. The team will maintain its practice in defending insurance agents and brokers, securities broker-dealers, and defending clients against cyber liability claims.
London Fischer is headquartered in New York City, with offices in Los Angeles and Irvine, California.
