Park Springs, Isakson Living’s resort-style continuing care retirement community (CCRC) located in Stone Mountain, GA., will introduce Georgia’s firstever, built-to-suit, fully executed Household Model this summer. In keeping with the developer’s mission to provide residents with more personalized care and lifestyle choices, this state-of-theart facility, slated to open in June 2017, will offer full service healthcare with prices starting at $240 per day.  
 “We saw an opportunity with the Household Model to create an environment that empowers residents to navigate their own lifestyle choices,” said Andy Isakson, managing partner of Isakson Living. “As we continue to grow and evolve, this new model allows us the ability to provide more personalized care in a less institutional model.”
Each Household accommodates 18 Members who are empowered to make their own decisions with regard to their day-to-day routine. Instead of eating in a dining hall at pre-set times, homes include a household kitchen and dining room, staffed with a homemaker that will allow residents to eat what they want, when they want it. In addition, homes have a living room and access to beautiful courtyards, allowing residents to come and go outside as they please. Staff work around member’s schedules and what works well for them. Each neighborhood is staffed with three dedicated care partners a homemaker and a house nurse. 
Georgia’s aging population makes up 16 percent of the state and continues to grow. As Baby Boomers are retiring, Isakson Living, a residential retirement community developer, is focused on a person-centered approach to healthcare, removing the institutionalized feeling that is often associated with healthcare settings. The Park Springs health center will include six households comprised of two long-term care, one rehabilitation skilled nursing, two assisted living, licensed memory care households and one adult day household. There is also a 3,100 square-foot physical therapy center, serving members as well as the local area. Park Springs will convert the current space that houses all health services on its main campus into an assisted living community with the ability to serve 52 members. The community will also offer respite care, a short-term option for rehabilitation and rest.
