The Allegheny County Sports & Exhibition Authority board in Pennsylvania plans to begin development of roads and utilities at the 28-acre site of the former Civic Arena in Pittsburgh as part of a $40 million mixed-use project being proposed by the Pittsburgh Penguins. The project will consist of “1,200 units of housing, 600,000 square feet of office space and 200,000 square feet of commercial development.” The state will contribute $15 million for the infrastructure work.
