With more than 10 years of construction experience, Mr. Aoun brings a distinguished portfolio and a wealth of expertise. Mr. Aoun oversees all pre-construction activities, including hard bids, conceptual estimates, value engineering, quantity takeoffs, and providing guidance to all estimators and support staff. His primary goal is to ensure the team is exceptionally prepared and primed for success from the very beginning. He spearheads the development of practices designed to improve the precision of our bids, bolstering the company’s ability to attract proficient and competitive subcontract bidders, and crafting value-added preconstruction services such as conceptual estimating to benefit its clients.

Mr. Aoun brings an impressive educational background to his role, holding a Master’s Degree in Construction and Engineering Management from the University of Texas at Arlington, as well as Master’s in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Lebanese University. With a decade of experience, he has successfully served in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility, including those of a civil drafter, structural engineer, cost estimator, and assistant project manager. His portfolio boasts diverse project involvement, spanning commercial, multi-family, institutional, transit, and public/municipal sectors. Most recently, Mr. Aoun served as an Assistant Project Manager at Hanover Company, a prominent private real estate firm specializing in the development and management of upscale multi-family residential properties. For his most recent project, a $200 million multi-family high-rise development, he skillfully negotiated over $50 million worth of trade contracts and achieved exceptional results by securing over $1.9 million in savings through a single subcontract negotiation.

In his new leadership role, Mr. Aoun plays a pivotal part in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company policies, procedures, and practices, all geared towards advancing the company’s mission, vision, and values. Westwood Contractors warmly welcomes Charbel Aoun to the team and the transformative contributions he will make in enhancing its preconstruction services and overall operational excellence.

In addition, Westwood Contractors is equally excited to introduce Ashlee Bellah as its new Controller. With over 17 years of accounting experience in the construction sector, Ms. Bellah brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to the company. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Maine and has more than 17 years of accounting experience in the construction industry. In her leadership role, Ms. Bellah will play a key role in providing invaluable financial guidance, driving the company’s future growth and success.

Throughout her career, Ms. Bellah has consistently excelled and assumed positions of increasing responsibility. Her most recent role as Controller at Provident General Contractors, a nationally acclaimed construction firm specializing in multi-family and commercial projects, highlighted her ability to make substantial contributions to an organization. Notably, she played a pivotal role in Provident’s successful transition to Sage accounting software, capitalizing on her extensive knowledge of Sage and her experience in deploying other software to streamline financial operations. Ms. Bella’s fresh perspective and innovative approach to enhancing the company’s payment, collections, payroll, and other accounting procedures. Ms. Bellah’s collaborative management style will significantly elevate the success of the accounting team. Her efforts will streamline operational processes and enhance the level of service extended to the company’s valued vendor partners. In her own words: “Quality assurance, program development, and training are top priorities,” underscores her commitment to excellence as she begins her new position at Westwood.
