Westwood Contractors, Inc. has announced that Robert Benda has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer effective February 10th, 2023. Mr. Benda has served the company in several roles since joining Westwood in 1987, most recently as Chairman of the Board, a title which he will continue to hold. Upon assuming this role, Mr. Benda issued the following statement: “I look forward to charting the path forward for the company as we continue to grow and to help position Westwood for its next 40 years of success. I am excited to return to active leadership of the company and to working with our dedicated team of construction professionals to achieve the ambitious goals to which we all aspire.”
Mr. Benda is well recognized as an accomplished leader in the industry as well as in the local Fort Worth, TX community. He was a founding member of the Retail Contractors Association (RCA) and has held positions on the boards of several well-respected local and national non-profit and community service organizations focused in education, healthcare, and the construction industry trade associations. He has been recognized among Fort Worth’s ‘Top 400 most influential people’ by Fort Worth, Inc. magazine. Through his leadership and demonstrated business acumen, the company is well positioned for the future.
