Amazon, Forever 21, Next Level Apparel and Authentic Brands Group have expressed interest in buying American Apparel, sources said. The retailers would have to offer more than Canadian apparel company Gildan Activewear, which submitted a $66 million bid for American Apparel when it filed for bankruptcy in November.
