While Airbnb‘s 2.3 million listings are more than double the combined rooms of Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, only 43% of those listings are “likely competitive with” hotels, a new STR study finds. The research firm assessed Airbnb data from 13 markets, seven in the United States, and found hotel growth greater than Airbnb’s in every U.S. location except New Orleans. Read the Skift story here
