Santa Clara has pushed back construction on a giant hotel at the Gateway Crossings mixed-use project, acknowledging the developer’s concerns over the state of the hospitality industry. City leaders also chose on Tuesday to bring forward the development of the project’s housing component, as well as increase how much of that housing will be considered affordable.
