Ball Janik, LLP is pleased to welcome the addition of three lawyers (Kayla Mosquera, Turner Street, and Nick Vargo) to the firm. All three attorneys collaboratively work in Ball Janik’s Construction Litigation Department, representing residential, commercial, and public owners in construction disputes of all types, including construction defect claims.

“We are pleased to welcome Kayla, Turner, and Nick to our firm as we continue to grow our Construction Defect Litigation Practice,” said James C. Prichard, Managing Partner for Ball Janik. “These three attorneys will work with their colleagues to represent owners with all aspects of construction litigation and defect claims.”

Kayla Mosquera’s background is in general commercial litigation. Her organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills help her connect with clients and find resolution methods that meet their needs. She received her J.D. from the Florida Coastal School of Law, and her undergraduate from Howard University.

“Ball Janik is known for its construction defect work, integrity, and teamwork in the Florida market,” said Mosquera. “I am excited to join such a diverse team of talented and dedicated people who place their clients first.

Prior to completing law school and joining Ball Janik, Turner Street clerked in a variety of legal areas, including public information policy, sports representation, and insurance coverage. His collaborative nature and meticulous approach will help Ball Janik aggressively and creatively pursue construction defect claims on behalf of owners. He earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, and his undergraduate from the University of Florida.

“I’m excited to join Ball Janik,” Street said. “As a new attorney, Ball Janik’s team approach to handling cases will accelerate my professional growth while also learning how to best serve our clients.”

Nick Vargo is a returning attorney to the firm, having previously worked in the Orlando office. Now in Ball Janik’s Sarasota office, Vargo will represent residential, commercial, and public owners in all construction disputes, complex construction defect litigation, and contract disputes. He earned his J.D. and Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, and his master’s and undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida.

“I’m excited to rejoin such a dynamic and driven team that has faced rapid growth in the past few years,” said Vargo. “My time away from Ball Janik reinforced my view that the firm’s culture is unrivaled, and each attorney’s approachable, hardworking, and collaborative personality places client needs as the ultimate priority.”
