The Innovations Design Studio drew from their day-to-day experience in fashion-centric Soho, New York, to create the June 2016 wallcoverings collection. Starting with an intense study of a silk blouse and touching on textures like Chanel’s iconic tweed, deconstructed clothing lines and colors inspired by cosmetics, the eight new and refreshed wallcoverings offer solutions for hospitality, commercial and residential interiors.
The collection includes two new Type II vinyl wallcoverings: Burnish, whose large-scale, amorphic repeat replicates a frost pattern Innovations’ designers found while window shopping for jewelry in NYC, and Pintuck, an intricately embossed texture that stacks snippets of textile inspiration into a vertical stripe.
