Pure+FreeForm, a bespoke metal company based in NYC that creates custom, solutions-based metal paneling systems, is proud to showcase their new Simple Modern collection. The collection of nine finishes range in color and feel, and can be applied to the company’s interior and exterior metal wall panel and ceiling systems.
Designed by founder Will Pilkington and Creative Director Geoffrey Hahn, many of the versatile finishes were inspired by the duo’s discovery of ancient objects during their travels. Perhaps the most delicate and feminine in the series, Blue Rust’s fresh take on rust, combined with purple and sea blue tones, was inspired from the Beverly Pepper sculpture installation outside of the Ara Pacis in Rome. Similarly, the pink, rose, and cool blue tones of Parisian Rust were inspired by an 18th-century manuscript of corten the designers discovered in Paris.
Each of the finishes is ideal for evoking a contextual experience in any hospitality, commercial, or contract setting. Additional finishes include:
Deco Bronze — This clear coat finish includes a gloss matte, and has a distinct art deco feel complemented by a distressed look. With both brass and bronze qualities, the elegance of the finish is perfect for a sophisticated interior ceiling.
Tempest Patina — This extreme gloss matte finish exhibits a plethora of colors depending on lighting conditions, featuring everything from cementitious gray colors to warm, blue-green tones, thanks to its color-changing pearl quality. Its cool color and metallic depth position it as a great feature or complementary color.
Vintage Nickel — This clear coat aluminum finish includes a top coat layer of matte silver. Underlying distressed elements make the finish extremely versatile, appearing both stainless in direct light and cementitious at more acute angles. The combination of the finish’s shadow lines with the deep radiance of the clear coat make this finish ideal for corrugated panels.
