GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading geotechnical and environmental consulting firm, announces that Michael J. Chow, P.E. of Montclair, New Jersey has been named a Senior Consultant in its New York City office.
Chow, a Structural Engineer, has more than 30 years of industry experience; his areas of specialization are foundations, support of excavation and marine engineering. His many industry achievements include: project management of the excavation support design, foundation design support, and construction services for the new SUNY Buffalo – School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, New York; foundation design for the Phase 1 Top-Down area of Columbia University’s Manhattanville Campus Expansion, New York, NY; as well as the Imperial Oil/Champion Chemical Superfund Site Hydraulic Barrier in Marlboro, New Jersey, a project that won Engineering News Record’s New York regional division 2012 Industrial/Manufacturing Project of the Year.
Chow received a BSCE from SUNY Buffalo and his MECE from City College of New York. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of New York and has served on various committees for the American Society of Civil Engineers, Deep Foundations Institute and The Moles.
