With so many retailers still struggling to stay afloat, 900 North Michigan Shops has signed Royal Bee, a luxury gift shop featuring specialty items for personal care and the home derived from bees. Royal Bee is the fifth retailer to sign on at the luxe shopping center this year, proceeded by: Psycho Bunny, Bubbles Academy, Reggie Hathorn, and My Planet Living Center. With this latest addition, 900 North Michigan Shops now enjoys 98% occupancy.
2021 Openings:
Reggie Hathorn — Opened August
Founded in 2020 by social media personality, Reggie Hathorn, the brand promotes Mental Health Awareness and offers a line of luxury candles and fragrances curated to inspire self-awareness and personal growth. In addition to scents intended to evoke specific emotional responses, the hand-poured soy wax candles offer an 80-hour burn time.
Bubbles Academy — Opened September
Bubbles Academy is Chicago’s premier early childhood arts enrichment center and preschool offering Virtual Classes, In Person Preschool, Kindergarten, and arts and music classes. The academy also offers customized birthday parties.
Psycho Bunny — Opened September
Psycho Bunny redefines the classics for men and kids with inimitable wit and peerless quality, giving tradition an updated edge. Their full line of casual wear offers luxurious finishes, bold colorations, and a cheeky logo intent on inspiring self-expression.
Royal Bee — Opens October
Royal Bee is a luxury gift shop that celebrates Earth’s most precious pollinator. From gourmet honey to beeswax candles, a wide selection of items for personal care and home are offered.
My Planet Living Center — Opens Holiday
Imagine a single destination that brought together the finest selections from all design showrooms. My Planet Living Center’s showroom promises to deliver just that – a one-stop-shop for all the essentials for upscale home renovation and design.
Enhanced Shopping Experiences
In addition to bringing on new retail partners, 900 Shops has also innovated to enhance guest’s shopping experience:
Resident Stylist – 900 Shops forged a partnership with stylist and influencer Tali Kogan. A pop-up boutique was created where Kogan could host live shopping events where viewers at home could purchase directly from the influencer’s Instagram page. Virtual as well as in-person styling sessions are also available.
Virtual Offerings – One trend born of quarantine is that of virtual stylists. Retailers such as J.Crew offer Virtual Style On-Demand, where guests can enjoy a personal, one-on-one styling session from the convenience of their own home.
