51% of Homeowners Face Pests—Smart Tech Can Help

From annoying stink bugs to rodents and termites that cost thousands in repairs, there’s no doubt that pests can take a toll on your home.

Modern Pest’s latest survey of over 1,000 Americans explores how widespread pest-related issues can be:

  • (51%) have encountered a pest infestation
  • 22% have dealt with resulting home damage
  • Over 1 in 10 (12%) even considered pests when choosing where to live

How can homeowners protect themselves from pest-related catastrophes? New technologies in pest control are a start. According to Modern Pest specialists, smart monitoring technology can help you tackle the root cause of pests before infestations occur:

“Technology represents the next evolution in proactively protecting homes from hidden pest damage. We place SMART sensors in high-risk areas … to monitor activity 24/7. If a rodent begins moving into the home, the system immediately alerts us so we can stop the problem early (usually before the homeowner is even aware), seal the entry point, and prevent further damage.”

Take a look at the full report for the most commonly searched pests in each state and additional expert tips for pest prevention.
