The Chicago Architecture, Design, and Project Management firm is tapped to complete this 33,000-square-foot fitness club
WHAT: Equinox Lincoln Common located at 2355 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, IL. The new Equinox facility will be housed within a complex which includes two, 20-story residential towers, a six-story office building, as well as retail. The new development is set to become Lincoln Park’s largest retail development with Equinox anchoring the development’s largest space. Stand-out features at the club will include acoustically isolated exercise studios, accomplished by a ‘floating’ concrete slab floor which sits atop rubber and metal spring isolators, and a regulation length salt water lap pool, among others.
WHO: Zimmerman Weintraub Associates (ZWA) has been tapped as the Architect of Record for this new development. Working with Equinox’s internal design team, and interior designers Meyer Davis, ZWA is helping to implement the design scheme for the two floor, 33,000 square foot project.
WHEN: Tentative opening set for late summer 2019
