Wawa Inc. opened its first Tampa Bay, Fla., store on February 8. According to CSPnet.com, the location is the first of five stores that the grocer plans to open in the area during the next five weeks. Last year, Wawa made its debut in Florida, opening six stores in the greater-Orlando area. It eventually opened two more stores, bringing the total to eight in the market. In 2013, the company plans to open 10 stores in Tampa and 15 stores in Orlando, projecting that it will open 100 stores in these two markets during the next five years.
